Seems like a lot of the new MMO's coming out have forsaken even the thought of a server with a PvP/FFA ruleset. A lot of very angry, frustrated blue/RvR players seem to be wholeheartedly against it as well. What are we gonna do folks? I miss PvP terribly.

Nothing. FFA PvP is a dying genre, the mmo market is dominated by carebears and fluffy mugs who get the rocks off killing some AI who can't hack playing the game the hard way. Pretty sure Darkfall was probably the last ffa pvp that'll be out for a good long while. Shame.

What is even coming out this year to look at? You have KOTOR mmo, which will prolly be duals or pvp-less.
Then GW2, that'll have lots of PvP.
And uhhhhhhh? Cataclysm? lol, it'll have rated battlegrounds which is almost like rated 8v8!

what about a game like darkfall, where PvP is the entire game, no avoiding it?

At this point, it might even be generous to call FFA PvP a niche. If it is, it's like the smallest niche in existence. :[

The only people who kill other people online now are people who play some form of FPS or RTS. Most MMO pvp is meh, and PVP like DAOC's is overlooked because it was never really known.

sucks that daoc never got "big" ands its down to one server now.
Was my favorite game, first mmorpg
