finished campaign. wonderful game! Gonna go thru on brutal this week, then go and do a normal mode speed run afterwards(did on hard first runthrough for achievements)

very enjoyable game

I never played the original, so it's definitely kind of a large learning curve for me at the moment. :/

If you believe starcraft 2 is a good game then maybe you should consider that the unit management structure is exactly the same as Warcraft 1.

You can do more with age of empires 2 and your unit formations and techniques then you can with Startcraft 2.

Dawn of War outmatches that game in every way except for a custom map builder.

^ maybe you should move your units in custom formations? Sorry you cant click a button and have the comp do it for you.

AoE2 is my rts game of choice.

But it's not unit formations that made the game. =)

High level of play in AoE2 plays alot like SC, tbh. Proxy buildings, expanding, using your buildings as walls, small unit skirmishes, using right unit counters, upgrading, etc.

Sounds like exactly like SC2. At least in Platinum and Diamond.
