I have done a ton of Writ trades and have NEVER been scammed. People need to use their common sense....

Now he's going under Drakier. See my post on FF boards. No bigs here, but he's making new names all the time. I have been blessed to have a lot of writs to trade and also blessed with a lot of good people to trade with. If you trade on FF, I suggest using a middle man. I will be asking my monarch or my patron or another trusted monarch for help if I do any further trades on FF.

psoing as another player can constitute harrasment. and the person is on turbines radar already for various things. i would continue to report it if it happens.

if you need a middleman on ff id be happy to help if needed. also do have some toons here on hg but i dont think i have writs. ill double check.

There is absolutely no possible way to steal an item in this game, PERIOD. Unless you allowed access onto your account, or you literally were "hacked" (which never happens), you are a complete moron to think otherwise.

Playing a "thief" or a "traitor" or a "bad guy" is part of the game. The pixels never belonged to you, so you never owned them and therefor cannot be stolen from. If anything, time was "stolen" and "hard work," neither of which are physical items.


I can't believe that after 10 years people can still be so stupid. Turbine doesn't care about their paying customers inability to resub accounts- what makes you think they would use their limited remaining worthless emplyees to implement some police Internet task force to stop people from TRICKING other players (not stealing).

Im not going to say that it wasn't my fault when i got scammed, cause it was, i trusted a guy that i had not rep-checked cause i was in a hurry.

But what tika_waylen says is true, "posing as another player can constitute harrasment.", thats against the CoC.

This didn't happen in my case tho.


Other than that, you are always one of the first to jump on threads where people warn about thief's, protecting them and/or telling people who got scammed that they are idiots.

I was amazed that it took you so long to find this thread.

I do hope you don't do the same thing IRL.

Um, how are you not getting this?

You pay 12.95 a month to rent pixels from Turbine. You don't own them, can't sell them or trade them, and technically can't even allow friends to access them. Your "account" (meaning the name on the account) belongs to you, but you don't own any pixels in the game.

People have roll played thieves for decades in internet games. I'm sick and tired of people whining about it, when there are thousands of easy ways to prevent being scammed in every facet of this game.

As you could have noticed if you read my post before replying, I never said you where wrong with that. I know very well how it works.
Although it would more likely be the database space and bandwidth that i was 'renting' if anything.
But thats not really important.

I do like the fact that you are 'sick and tired' of people who don't like being scammed, but don't care a bit about people who do the scamming. It shows what kind of an ToS Personal Attack you are.

Simple fact for you:
When someone who actually cares about other people get scammed, they let others know about it to prevent it from happening to others.
This was not a 'whine' post, it was a warning so others wouldn't fall in the same trap.

I have said it earlier in this topic and in a other posts: GTFO my topic, I don't want your input, I don't need it, and I'm quite sure no one else does either.

What where your intention with your posts on this topic?

Was there actually any reason for you to post here at all?


The only person who have been whining on this topic is you, you are whining cause you THINK that WE are.

The people who have posted about being scammed all seem to be understanding that it is mainly their own fault, for not rep-checking and/or having a middle hand.





Time spent in a video game is time spent in real life too.

And calling a MMO a video game is quite an simplification.

If you don't want my 'eye opening advice' i recommend you not to read a post that clearly shows what the topic is about.


The 'name calling' was not cause i cant control myself, cause i have no problems with that.

My native language is not English, and i cant find a English word that would suit you better, given the way you behave.


Thank you again for your great input on the topic.

Next time I have a trade, I will contact you before and make sure I do not make any big mistakes, so that I don't have to go whine on this board again.
