If I were to change my Mega-icon, how would I ever find it again? |
I noticed that I cannot search for it and find it. When I check the properties, it's named http://i37.tinypic.com/25fndzt.jpg, so how do I find it again if I change it?

Save the original one that Shal put up form your request thread to disk. That's what I did.

I don't believe it's stored in any kind of accessible database. If you were to upload a new one it would copy over your current one.

Right. I believe that's what I remember reading.
Basically MegaIcons are stored on a per user database, so you go back to that, not to the main icon database

Really? That kinda sucks. 
I have to admit I don't like anything about this new graphics process except the larger icon size.

It's a rather nice process compared to just lumping them in with the 20,000 icons already in the database

If I lose my copy, the only way I can get it again is if Shalis is around and still has her copy.

Pretty much, yep 
I do hold on to mine for ages before I delete them, I used to keep them permanently but it was using up too much space so I deleted almost everything I ever made

heh, my 'only recent' collection of .psd files is now 11.2 gig. That's better than I expected though since a couple are ~1gig alone.
I back that stuff up to DVD, but my system for organizing those is poor, good luck finding something specific if I needed it in a hurry. =/
