I'm looking for an old icon that was made for me several years back that I used for a few years, but I can't seem to find it here anymore under the admin icons.

I see several other older icons still around, but I'm just not finding mine. How do I go about find it again (if possible)?

Back then we used to clear out admin icons that were no longer in use about once every 3-6 months. I've had a look for you and it's not there, I've also just checked to see if I have a copy of it but I don't. If it had been one I'd made I probably could have helped you but Syn hasn't been around for years now and she's the only one likely to still have a copy.

I've looked around and can not find the old one anywhere, so looks like I need something new.

Similar ideas though, I would like to use the artwork that was created for me a while ago:

From what I recall, my old icon was just the area of her face and a part of her cloak similar to what you see in the sig. I don't recall what we did to make it non-blocky though.

I believe I used the short form of my name (Gwen)in red/yellow toward the bottom of the icon.

Anyone want to take a stab at this? I've tried, but haven't come up with anything yet with my limited image editing skills.

now if you'd just found it before i'd spent time making another icon lol

just remember, don't expect it to be animated after you upload it, animated gifs break on upload so it'll just be a normal icon now. that one definitely looks better than the one i made though even without being animated.

Beibhinn, your my hero..that looks like my original icon.

Now how do we get this uploaded again for me to select? That was done for me last time.

Also..I only have temp VIP right now unless I at some point end up being staff or a moderator. I would still be able to use this if they do not extend my VIP access so we may have to upload it into one of the non-admin categories (DAOC would be appropriate).

its under the options section in the menu at the top of the boards.

posters can upload their own icons now. the unfortunate trade off is it broke animated icons.


edit-
and you can use the regular size icon even if your not staff or insider, all posters get icons now. the larger icons are for the staff/vip/insiders.
