At this point I'm leaning towards Battlemaster. Since most Sojourner abilities don't work in PvE, and bind stones and goblin merchants removing the teleport and merchant abilities, it just seems to make more sense to me.

As far as the dueling aspect goes, Battlemaster seems to be the winner again. Forceful Zephyr doesn't work in duels, and Phase Shift cancels them, whereas if you get in a melee tussle with your opponent, you can just Endo tap and buff shear your enemy to victory!

What are your thoughts?

I disagree. The only battle master ability that stands out to me is essence flames. For an archer a "melee" style that eats 1/3+ of your endo for the bonus of a 12 second window of procs is not very handy. Now on my savage I love that style, but he gets aoe melee and the procs go flying on a group of mobs.

Now sojourner gives my archer and any alts with them waterbreathing, essence resistance, and a port that works for the whole group in areas where the ports stones don't function. Not to mention a merchant for free (or an extra for free).

you forgot phase shift. it is VERY handy at times when soloing.

so battlemaster: essence flames. (and the cool floaty styles) the power and endo drains are great, but with endo pots, and end myths available, they are not really all that functional in practical use.
buff shearing is great and all, but there are a long list of buffs it wont remove, including CL buffs iirc.

sojourner: water breathing, lifter, merchant, phase shift, personal/mass gateway. also, both gateway spells are NOT on timers. So they can be used often, and it also frees up at least one backpack slot, and maybe two. you dont need a personal bind stone, or merchant stone.

i know which was in more demand during ml1, 2, and 3. and which is more useful in keep groups, or maybe which is better for crafting, and which aids surviveability in a non-duel situation.

Clear winner IMO.

wardens use perfector usually unless there is some 1 trick pony job fer them.

sojourner is the way to go fer archers on this server. hands down.. other mentioned utilities are far outweighed by the day to day utilities of sojourner.

just my humble opinion

nothing can use battlemaster as well as a warden can and in any group where you have a warden you have somebody else who is already perfector so why would you need another perfector?

essence flames on theurgist targets or keep lords though, why not

reaver > warden for battle master.

when paired with a thug, the essense flames procing off pets, plus the ABS debuff.

the warden will never run out of endo and offers much more survivability to a group than a reaver does

wardens are fotm. reavers WERE fotm.

I have both, and enjoy playing the reaver more.
