The skeletons in the cave... when Jack went down with Desmond there were skeletons all along the walls showing that it's been done before. Least, that's how I took it... Hurley took over for Jack with Ben as the new Richard... before Jack was Jacob... before Jacob was his mother.. etc etc etc... who knows how long it happened or has been going on. To me: the skeletons showed that.
The cast was not dead... everything on the island happened. Yeah some died.. like.. years ago... like Boone and Shannon... and some died perhaps centuries later... like Hurley... (Ben wasn't dead... he just was there to see them off imo as he stayed outside... to finish up stuff.. so imo he was the new #1). But if Hurley was inside... and he was the new Jacob / Jack, he could have lived hundreds of years like Jacob did. But they were not dead all along.... they basically all met after they all died... the ending was nearly identical to the ending of Titanic where Rose (as an old lady) dies above the wreckage and her soul goes down to rest with all the others from the ship. - I wonder if I'm the only one who drew a parallel to that.. hmm.
The church has no time.. to each of them time was their instant... Christian explained that. Kate saying she missed him, eluded to her escaping on the plane as Jack died, and her dying (most likely) of old age or something with the others.
Yeah Lost had Jack as the focus.. with a lot of side variables. I never liked Jack.. I always loved Ben and Locke as my two favorites... but the show was based (like Kimmel said) on the relations with eachother. In a way the writters spoke to the audience in the end... it's over.. the best times were with eachother and it's time to let go.
I think I cried more in the last 10 minutes of the show.. from the time he pulled up to the church and I knew what was going to happen, more than when I lost my dog lol.
