I'm still having fun. My sorc is 38; I also started working on a sentinel who is 13. I don't have high hopes for end game, but it'll be weeks before I get there anyway. Space combat owns. The warzones will be decent fun once they take level 50s out of them and add another same-side warzone so Imperials aren't stuck in an endless loop of Huttball. I expect I'll subscribe for at least a few months.

Yesterday with the patch , at least on my server, we all went out to Illum and it was like 400 Sith camping 80 Republics at their base. Fifteen of us rerolled to Republic to play the underdog side as it's a total bore outnumbering them this much. The new guild is called - the "Light" octopus for RP value.

I've been pretty much been playing non-stop with a friend since release, and wanted to give some perspective on the game, thus far for anyone interested.

I'll try and make it quick and concise:

The PvE is actually pretty fantastic. The dialogue options and light/dark side choices make PvE extremely enjoyable. The space missions add a new aspect to mmos that I haven't experienced before and help to add some variety (although, you don't actually control your ship/flight path, only where on the screen your ship is and what you're firing at). Instead of leveling zones, there are planets that you can travel to that are level specific. The design of the planets is actually very well done, but with that being said, after your 3rd or 4th planet, you realize the pattern is all the same, and you won't be finished with the planet until you have explored every unexplored area. It almost gets to the point where you cringe at the idea of having to do a new planet.

With all of that being said, I couldn't help but feel like I was playing WoW all over again, with a star wars cover. Which isn't a bad thing, because I think PvE was the one thing wow had actually gotten right.

As far as pvp is concerned, I've done more than a fair share of my scenarios, I'm up to level 27 valor. It's the same 3 scenarios over and over again, and the only one I really enjoy is huttball. As it stands now, in it's current form, pvp is pretty horrendous. From almost every standpoint, much like wow was/is, and now instead of realm imbalance, you're dealing with class/build imbalances since all the classes are the same on both sides(which I hate).

Every single class has some form of CC. And most classes have multiple forms of CC. It's absurd. Sorcs have pulls, pushes, snares, stuns, mez, and personal shields to boot. I think they're by far the worst, but even as a tank/dps I have two channeling cc abilities. It's all short in duration, but it's just a cluster F'. Even if it were fixed, I'm still not sold that the pvp would be very good. 4 man groups, equipment rewards, no xp/valor rewards for pvp'ing on planets (outside of Ilum, which I'm not sure if there are any there either). It's just...bad.

They did a spectacular job with the game itself, but the end game is, as far as I have seen, non-existent. The only reason I'm sticking around is because of what the company had said they were planning on developing for end-game, which seemed more inline with RvR/PvP aspect of the game. But when that will be done/implemented is yet to be seen.
