In my apartment. I don't eat fish myself. I'm allergic to fish, seafood, shellfish.
And this just reeks terribly. It must be penetrating my apartment from the hallway here or something.
Good thing I have an epipen handy should the smell start the allergic reaction of throat closure.

Is it coming from the water supply? Sometimes our tap water here can smell like fish on some random day

It was detected by other tenants in the building as someone who was in fact cooking horrendous fish. 
As for the metallic taste in the mouth.. that's been over a year now with off and on metallic taste in my mouth thanks to MS.
