Snow day... again |
classes canceled again due to snow, missed half my classes this year due to snow cancelations. Supposed to be bad this time, about an 1/4 to 1 inch of ice followed by somewhere between 14 and 24+ inches of snow

driving TO work was actually easier than driving BACK from work.
now it is a solid sheet of ice just about.
and it will be colder and worse tomorrow
it is 4 degrees right now

cant see the curbs today. cant even see the bottom of the cars. fell twice taking the dog out.
knee twisted the first fall, hit my back/shoulder and then head on the 2nd one.
called the boss and told him no way today.

sister in laws b/f has these things and they are AWESOME for the ice here

I have a pair of men's wolverine steel toed boots that I have had for about 6 years. they also have the slip resistant soles, but I have slid a couple of times. I don't care what they look like on my feet, they have kept me upright so far in this ice. The Yaktrax will help even more. You really need a good pair of boots for this stuff. I think my boots ran me about 100 bucks when I got em.
