A steel worker who is not a Steelers fan, that is just plain blasphemy! Come on now you are a Colts fan, so how much sports knowledge can you really have? Atleast you are not a Mizzou fan though. Nothing worse than a Mizzou fan, except possibly a Tennessee Titans fan. Oh god don't get me started on those Titans.

I will probably pick them to win a couple of games but in all honesty, we had 3 forwards who were good, one center who came in very sparingly throughout the season, and 2 who only saw time during complete blowouts. In the last two weeks 1 forward tore his ACL, another tore ligaments in his wrist so that leaves us with 1 good forward, 1 trying to play on a bad shooting wrist, and 1 center who is a complete liability offensively... And two other bigs on the bench who hardly played at all this year. So look for Mizzou to play a LOT of 4 guard lineups which might work well against Clemson but it will be a liability. There is a reason we lost 3 of our last 4.

If the shots are falling from 3 and our guards are playing defense they can negate passes inside to some extent, but the first team that has an inside presence should beat us. I think they can beat anyone on any given night but if they make it out of the first round this year I will be happy.

Heck, making the tournament during the 'rebuilding' year makes me happy after having Quin decimate the program over the last few years!

I have Missouri losing in the second round, I just do not see them beating West Virgina who I am thinking about taking to the title game. Missouri should beat Clemson though. Your best bet for taking KU out of the tournament might just be in the second round. I am very nervous about a potential game with UNI. UNI can slow a game down and plays great defense, they might be able to upset Kansas. I do not think Maryland or Michigan State can do it, but for sure Georgetown or Ohio state could. The safest bet is to take KU off the board in the elite eight game. The risk pick will be second round the safe pick will be 4th round. I do not see KU losing in the final four or championship game; I think if they make it to Indy they will seal the deal.

Amendial posted:

Does that mean we are going to win it all Juzam, because there are no teams whose names start with a "B" in this tournament field.

*cough* Butler, BYU, and Baylor *cough* ...but yeah, my Buckeyes were supposed to be in the running for the #4 overall seed and got the #8, which just happened to end up as the hardest region...Duke and Kentucky on the other hand, I'm having a hard time finding a spot where they'd actually have trouble

Yeah I caught that mistake yesterday, but was hoping no one would notice. I looked over the bracket initially and didnt see any "B" teams, but when you scan over 64 names in 25 seconds it is easy to miss some. I was playing with my bracket last night and noticed I had Baylor going to the final four and thought "wait a second, that starts with a B."

Duke I think might run into trouble with Texas A&M if they last that long. That sweet 16 game will be played in Houston, which is not far form Texas A&M's campus. Basically a home game for A&M. They are pretty good at home so I think that is a game Duke could lose. Also a potential elite eight game against Baylor whose campus is very close to Houston. I do not think Duke can survive both of those games, and I think home court advantage will be the push Baylor needs to make it to a final four.

Kentucky is a tough game to pick. I do not think they are a number 1 seed. They lost to South Carolina, almost lost to Miss State twice, barely beat UNC, and Alabama. What do all of those teams have in common? They are playing in the NIT or not playing in a post season tournament. Do you think an NCAA calibur team, especially one that made the sweet 16 on is going to miss 4 free throws and let you get an offensive rebound and put back at the end of the game like Miss State did? No. I will agree that they are the most talented team in the tourny, but talent doesn't win national championships alone. I think Kentucky will get beat by West Virginia, or possibly Cornell, or Wisconsin.
