Yeah I have a hard time getting into the NBA, I watch some games around playoff time but that is it. If the Lakers win it all again this year I might just give up watching NBA for good. I will do what I have done the past 5 season, root for Cleveland and then watch them lose. It was nice to see the Bucks we, I might be wrong but I think they have had a horrible team the past 4-5 seasons. I would also like to see the Thunder make it past the first round.

if the lakers take it all I don't think I could ever get into the NBA again, even if my cadavaliers were to take a few titles in a row

I loved the NBA in high school, but haven't really watched many games since the mid 90s. I was a big Hawks fan, but lost interest when they got rid of Dominique Wilkins. It is nice to see them fairly competitive again.

I somehow get the feeling that most of the people on this board at one time loved the NBA, but something in the mid-late 90's turned most of us off.

I never have been much of a fan of the NBA. I have always watched a few games during the playoffs, but other than that I can not stand to watch an NBA game. The flow and overall atmosphere is just not what I like. Now college basketball is a different story, I can watch that all day long.

The end of Jordan's dominance didn't help. But then again I am a Bulls fan, so what would you expect. Then, as someone who lived in Sacramento for a long time, to watch them get screwed over in favor of the Lakers was a big disappointment too.

It seemed to me that around that time, the game largely moved from being a team game to a one-on-one game.
The typical scenario that started to bore me:
"Give Iverson the ball, his four teammates go to the far corner on the other side of the court, Iverson jukes his defender and scores."
"Give Kobe the ball, his four teammates go to the far corner on the other side of the court, Kobe jukes his defender and scores."

On the very rare occasion that I watched the NBA, I would watch the Spurs. Duncan, Robinson, Horry, Elliot, Avery Johnson. I enjoyed that much more than the Kobe Bryant show.
