March Madness still makes some since, cause all the teams that are playing in the second and third week still have a chance to win the national title. Every game in March Madness is meaningful, win and you are still playing for a national title, lose and you are eliminated. Football bowl games are completely different. Every bowl game except for one, or possible two in a very rare case, the teams know that they have been eliminated from national title contention. So the bowl game is really just for fun at that point, no real meaning to it.

Oh, and with all due respect look who TCwho? plays all year before we jump at contenders...

Tennessee Tech

Baylor

Southern Methodist

Colorado State

Wyoming

Brigham Young

Air Force ( Not to bad but it's still not a great feat to beat these guys... )

UNLV

Utah ( The best you play )

San Diego State

New Mexico

And yes, I will say you looked amazing against Wisconsin but seriously don't make remarks with a schedual like that....

Now on Auburns side can you seriously argue?

Arkansas State ( Not shabby, sure as hell better than Tenn Tech lol )

Mississippi State ( Would kill the morons, easy )

Clemson ( Would be an interesting game )

South Carolina ( Sorry, gamecocks did awesome this year, they've got my vote here )

Louisiana-Monroe ( Suprised TCU does not play these guys lol )

Kentucky ( Nada special )

Arkansas ( Awesome team this year another top 15 )

LSU ( Top 8 team here at least )

Mississippi ( Not so special )

Chattanooga ( Homecoming )

Georgia ( Not bad at all with Green )

Alabama ( They played Michigan State like they were the nation champs.. )

South Carolina ( Again against this good team )

Oregon ( Was not even Cam who did the most damage in this game - Meet our running back Dryer and Mr Fairley... )

As for the Cam Newton ordeal, I think he knew. Regardless, money does not make the player, just where he goes. He also did not win against Oregon, our defense and running did for the most part.

While I will never suggest that TCU (or any nonBCS school) should ever get the championship, I do think that TCU would have a chance in a game with Auburn. It is my opinion that rankings are tied to rankings. The SEC is ranked highly every year and so when teams beat them they get ranked too. When they lose you get another team ranked. Its like a self perpetuating cycle of rankings that begins each year based upon the 2-3 actual good teams in the conference. This year the SEC had 3 good teams (Auburn, Alabama, LSU) and another that could have been good but didn't do it on the field (Arkansas).

My view of the two teams schedules:

Oregon State - maybe
Tennessee Tech - joke
Baylor - maybe
Southern Methodist - joke
Colorado State - bad
Wyoming - joke
Brigham Young - bad
Air Force - maybe
UNLV - joke
Utah - good
San Diego State - good
New Mexico - joke
Wisconsin - great

Arkansas State - joke
Mississippi State - maybe
Clemson - maybe
South Carolina - maybe
Louisiana-Monroe - joke
Kentucky - bad
Arkansas - good
LSU - great
Mississippi - maybe
Chattanooga - joke
Georgia - maybe
Alabama - great
South Carolina - maybe (again)
Oregon - great

TCU = 5 jokes, 2 bad, 3 maybes, 2 goods, and 1 great win
Auburn = 3 jokes, 1 bad, 6 maybes, 1 good, and 3 great wins

The only one I was torn about was South Carolina. They were not that good, but they did play for the championship. In the end, I decided that it would be like the Big 12 north winner in the championship game a few years ago. The team wasn't that good, but still got there because the teams they played were even worse.

Auburn > TCU over the course of the season easy. In a one game setting at the beginning of the season, Auburn wins. In a one game setting at the end of the season, TCU wins. When you get to rest your team for 7/13 games and stay healthy, you will be closer to full strength at the end of the season. IMO that is why they beat Wisconsin and also why they do not deserve a championship.

It doesn't matter who would win, what matters is the fact that TCU was robbed of its chance to win. This is completely absurd, this would be like taking Butler out of the final four last year because they were not good enough to be there. They won the games they had to win and got there. Football is an unfair system and it will continue to be an unfair system, and as far as I am concerned they can give out all these national championship, because I will not view anything won without a playoff system as a national championship. I hope the government gets their act together and bans the BCS from calling it a national championship so they will finnally do the right thing.

Just my 2 cents:
Yes, TCU played an inferior schedule to Auburn, BUT on the other hand the good teams won't schedule them because all they want on their non-conference schedule are cream-puffs.
