The luminous landscape one is the original, and still the best in my opinion. In that it tells you not the how, but the why. (And I strongly believe in knowing why you do stuff, as I feel it makes it easyer to learn )


As for the flash not firing, I'm guessing it's the recharge rate as well. A standard off-the camera flash uses quite a bit more time to recharge then a studioflash. 1-2 seconds if you fire at full power

after I fired the flash (which never fired) the flash made its BEEP letting me know that it fired, and recharged, and ready to fire again...


thats the issue I am having.

I thought it beeped twice, once when firing and once when recycled.

it actually beeps 3 times... a quick beep beep to let you know that you triggered it (cant say that it flashed, because it doesnt...LOL) then a longer beep after it has recycled.


I retested it today using alk batts (new of course) and had it set to S1 and then on S2, using a P/S camera flash to trigger. About 75% fail to flash, but the beeps tell me otherwise.

just tested it again, shorting out the center pin with the base, and it beeps like it fires, but no flash 75% of the time...

That's weird. I'm assuming it also fails in M mode?
