Hey I've got questions for anyone out htere who has gone through thios befre. How do you tell you child that you in fact are gay? I've been gay for some time now , but can't bear to tell Jeffery that the men I have over are more than just friends. Please help

being 25 years old and helping with my familys foster parenting for almost 13 years i can say that the best course of action with anyone, adult or child, is to be truthful to them. showing outside sources of what you are trying to convey to your boy will only help to instill negative thoughts on the situation, IE brokeback mountain etc etc. IMO the best way to talk to him is to wait until you both are relatively relaxed then sit him down and tell him what you want to tell him. make sure exasperate on how you love him and how it does not change anything. of course this IS a internet board so take my advice with a grain of salt. good luck with your endeavor.

If you child is 12 he doesn't need books or movies...he knows what gay is.
