Carseat safety is one of my biggest pet peeves. I will stop strangers at a gas station if I notice something not right.

I usually feel like I stick out like a sore thumb. My two weeks from being four year old son is sitting in a Britax Regent (five point harness booster, sits up to 80 pounds) while the majority of the kids he goes to school with (it's an primary Elementary school, so I'm talking ages three to six year olds) aren't even in seat belts, much less a car seat or a booster.

My daughter will be in her Regent until she hits the weight limit.

Matthias has already hit the weight allowance on our Britax - to be turned forward but I'm waiting until he's a year old.

Our local car dealerships even offer carseat installation and installation instruction services and about once a month they run a drive up service where anyone can stop by and have their carseats inspected and installed properly.


Whenever I see unrestrained kids in cars, I call the police and provide them with the make, model and license number of the car.
