I saw my mother on Saturday for some alone time, and for a bit on sunday when all the other kids were home.

Most of the day Sunday I spent with my son. He bought me enough mulch to finish my front yard. that is what I told him I wanted. He swept all the stuff from the maple trees off my front porch for me, he trimmed some of the trees that had limbs hanging too low in the yard, he helped me put the mulch around where I wanted it, he bought my husband and I supper, and as we were sitting on the tailgate of my husbands truck admiring the yard when we had finished, he leaned over, kissed the top of my head , and said "love ya mom."

My daughter and her girls and I were supposed to go to the Mothers Day brunch at the new place my son is working. Rare for us. We always do Mothers Day at home. We did noting this year because I had been so sick the week before I wasn't anywhere near ready to be in a car or around so much food aroma.

They have a brunch there every sunday so we'll go in a few weeks. I only feel about 60% recovered so far. I was so sick and getting sick over 50 is no game. I guess never getting more than a little cold now and then has its drawbacks. It's taking me a lot longer to heal than I thought it would. My kids have been great help going to the market, keeping this place clean and helping take the dogs out.

I had 2 days off without the girls, after the 3 day puke fest, so I don't think that was nearly enough. We have a big make up Mothers Day
