Times 3! Same goes for the computer... We have our 3 systems in the basement, all within view of one another, and the one my daughters can use have the LAN cable conveninently disconnected unless I'm updating or something. It's going to stay that way for a long, long time. We'll gauge their responsibility level as they age.

You guys say no now, but watch what happens when one of their friends start doing it. I bet things may change then. We are in the computer age and might as well embrace it. Besides who knows, maybe their early experience in text messaging may be the thing that results in them having a great career in computers or some offshoot.

My husband and I are IT professionals, each with over 20 years of experience. No, she's still not going to be texting until she can afford it herself.
