I'm having another baby boy


I just did $200 worth of grocery shopping in HOPES that I do not have to go back to the store before he's here.

All the baby clothes and blankets are washed and dried and folded.

I have Newborn and #1 diapers and all the stuff I could possibly need (that I remember).

Got a box of nursing pads, have a manual breast pump, all the bottles and pacifiers have been boiled and put in the cabinet.

Car seat is ready to be put in the car, the bassinet is all set up.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I'M FORGETTING?!?!?

Because I know there is something.

It's been 9 years since I did this ... I must be out of my GD mind.

Congratulations! I am jealous you are having a boy.

The only things I can think of that were not on your list was nipple cream, butt paste, and medications..Although you may very well have those already.

Also stock up on comfort food, Little Debbie was my best friend that first week after I was able to eat freely again.

I have those things! Yay!

and i do love some oatmeal cream pies for comfort food

Bath stuff, baby wash/lotion/etc. Bathtub if you're using one.

Not that it helps you now that you've done a lot of shopping, but I'm planning on taking my husband out for the day and doing this http://www.supersuppers.com/index.php for a few weeks of frozen already been made but needs to be cooked food.

If you're worried about the car seat, you can stop by your local fire station. The majority of them have at least one car seat certified fireman around that will be able to help you install and/or check to see if it has been installed correctly.

Make sure you pack some stuff for you, too. A comfy robe, slippers and/or socks, lotions. You didn't say how you were having him (natural or caesarian), but either way some of your favorite music CD's or an iPod wouldn't be amiss. Our hospital has built in iPod hookups in the rooms (I love technology, and major metro cities are good for something?) along with DVD players. Your own pillow, especially if you're having a caesarian. Not only is it nicer to sleep on, but it's much nicer to get used to bracing your stomach afterwards (I always preferred leaning against the bed, but everyone and their mother recommends a pillow. YMMV.)

A diaper bag packed and ready, make sure that you've got a pediatrician lined up..
