Rage got back together, which RULES and I LOVE Chris Cornell's solo album "Euphoria Morning". I look forward to what he puts out solo again. My all time fav song isn't even on that album however. It's his song "Sweet Sunshower" and it was on the soundtrack "Great Expectations".

Rage is only back together for that one concert. They aren't planning on doing anything other than that

Lots are saying because he didn't want to sing about politics and stuff like RATM did (which is kinda believable... granted Morello is kinda a political-song writer kinda guy)

Personally, I preferred his solo album to the Audioslave stuff (though I did like Audioslave). I hope his future solo music will be as good as Euphoria Morning.

Me too. He has a new solo album coming out soon. Should be really good.

One reason why Euphoria Morning was so good is because of these guys: http://www.myspace.com/elevenesque

Eleven has got to be one of the most underrated bands in the last 15 years.

I really like both Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine, but was skeptical when it was announced that Cornell and the guys from Rage announced that they were forming a new band together. I bought the first Audio Slave CD and didn't get into it. So, I'm not disappointed about this split up.

I am looking forward to hear what Cornell comes up with as, imo, Soundgarden's music is pretty timeless sounding. Rage, on the other hand, was a great band but sound a bit dated when I listen to their music; they came about at a time when the funk/rap/metal wave was big and that wave seems to have largely subsided.
