My first concert was Kenny Rogers I believe, but that was with my family.
Same here! Kenny with my dad when I was about 11 at the state fair. First concert without parents or friend's parents was Monsters of Rock '86 with Metallica, Scorpions, Dokken, Kingdom Come and Van Halen.

Ricky Skaggs at the Oregon State Fair. Suffice to say, I was dragged by family. First one I picked to go to, ICP at the Roseland.

My church when I was a kid held the largest Christian music festival west of the Mississippi. So every year a band that played there would come to our church and do a concert. The first one I remember is Petra around '87 because I remember them doing This Means War which was released around that time. I think there might have been one or two in the years before but they were "boring" (think maybe Steve Green or somebody along those lines) singers that didn't interest me so I don't remember them.
