Neither did I.
I have that first CD they put out a long time ago and I *think* I saw them open for someone else back around that time. If I remember correctly from the last time I listened to it (probably 10 years ago), I thought the CD was okay but nothing remarkable; pretty typical stuff for the time period.

Are you serious? Young Modern is definitely Silverchair's crowning achievement. Going from grunge (Frogstomp) to Young Modern is quite the accomplishment from this great band. I doubt you will ever do the same. Maybe you should stop listening to grunge like they did and grow up. There's only so much you can do with a few power chords.
Silverchair is truly one of the most gifted bands around.
