Well, that's too long.

One lb 90 percent lean hamburger meat

1 minced onion

2 minced habanero peppers (optional, this is HOT)

2 cans red beans

2T ancho chili powder

2T red chili powder

1 small can tomato paste

2 small cans tomato sauce

1 large can tamales

enough water to make it as thick as you'd like it

salt to taste

brown meat, onion, and pepper together, add everything else, simmer about 30 minutes.

drain beans, add to chili, unwrap tamales, add them in. Cover until it comes back to

a boil, take off heat and let set on the stove for about 20 minutes.

Nuthing to it.

I know it's heresy, but I'd rather have the beans than the meat. Having both together though is my favorite.

I like beans in my chili too. They give it more texture although there is also 2 lbs of hamburger and 1 round steak (cubed) in my chili as well.

That should be Wolf Brand Chili.

It was very popular in the south when I was a little kid.
