what would you do with it?


I would marinate mine in Apple juice for around 2 hours, and then bake it in the oven. I would make roasted apples, onions, sweet potatoes to go with it.


The marinade:


boil together: 2cups of apple juice, 2 bruised mint leaves, 2-3 whole cloves, 1 large clove of smashed garlic. reduce heat and let simmer until reduced by half. Strain and let cool completely pour over pork loin and refridgerate for up to 2hours. Roast uncovered until done.(depends on the size of your loin)


quarter 3 apples one onion and 4 sweet taters put in a cake pan drizzle olive oil salt and pepper over them and toss to coat. cook until fork tender. Cut the sweet taters smaller than the onion and apples as they take longer to cook. (takes around 45 mins at 375 so add when you have around 45 mins left on the cooking time of the roast)


Serve with green beans garnished with slivered toasted almonds.

My mom had a great recipe where you coated it with 7 different kinds of peppercorns then cooked it. I will have to see if I can find that.

I'd put a rub on it.

8 parts brown sugar
2 parts salt
1 part chili powder

1 part (consists of thyme, cayan, onion powder, cumin) or 1 part curry powder or 1 part satay powder or whatever else I felt like trying

Then I'd cook it for several hours in my charcoal BBQ with lots of hickory wood. Temp not to exceed 300 degrees.

I'd marinate it in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, onion, crushed red pepper, and fresh oregano and cracked black pepper corns.

Cut into 1 inch slices. Marinate in Italian dressing for 4 hours or overnight. Throw it on the grill at low heat until done. Serve with potatoes and corn on the cob, both roasted on the grill.

spiral cut it so it lays out

stuff it with portabella mushrooms - bell peppers - green onions - parmesan cheese - garlic


roll it up - tie it up - bake it at 350

I should direct Cere to this thread because I'm pretty sure it's pork loin that he uses to make are grill pork tenderloins. He pounds it out flat and then grills it and we have the most tasty tenderloins.
