lol I just boiled a bunch of garlic cloves in cayenne pepper and cumin... thought about this thread. You guys ought to try it
lol honestly that sounds disgusting
speaking of being crafty with ramen though, I made spaghetti with ramen the other night and it turned out great!
1 lb ground hamburger meat
1 tsp garlic
1 large can of Hunt's meat spaghetti sauce(yeah I know its a travesty that I dont make my own spaghetti sauce - I do sometimes but this is just a quick and easy substitute and this brand actually tastes edible!)
1 large can of diced tomatoes
1 small can of tomato paste
1 cup of chopped carrots
1 cup of chopped carrots
1 cup of chopped mushrooms
2 tsp of ground red pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste
4-5 packages of instant ramen noodles(use more if youre feeding more than 2-3 people)
1. Brown hamburger meat in skillet til cooked through
2. Add carrots, onions, mushrooms, and garlic then cook til they are tender
3. Add diced tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, and red pepper flakes and let it simmer covered for ~10 minutes.(until the sauce is the consistency you want it)
4. While the sauce is cooking bring a pot of water to boiling then add your ramen and cook per the packaging instructions.
5. When ramen is done be sure to drain it. The noodles have a tendency to over absorb water and get very soggy if you dont.
6. Serve noodles with sauce on top!
This usually makes a pretty hefty batch so we always have left overs to eat later on. Ive also given this an asian flare by adding some soy sauce with the chopped tomatoes and spaghetti sauce. I also cooked the hamburger meat in sesame oil instead of plain crisco. Some people like to add alittle sugar to the sauce if you make it Asian style.
