After Action Report:
Bruschetta turned out good. Roma tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Put on some French bread and then topped with a marinated mozzarella cheese. Didn't cut the cheese into small enough pieces to get a good melt, but it still came out alright.
Spaghetti in the sauce above with Venison/Buffalo meatballs and Italian sausage. Somehow lost my can of crushed tomatoes and ended up using a a jar of red-pepper/tomato pasta sauce. Altered the flavor a bit, but I think the meat and sugar did their job and gave a good taste of how the recipe should come out. We ended up making about 6 times too many meatballs though.
The Panna Cotta came out perfect. Topped it with some fresh bliueberries and starberries and also a blueberry/strawberry sauce. Definitely going to make that one again.
The red wine was good enough to finish the bottle, but not good enough to want to buy another. My search for a red wine I really like continues. The dessert wine though was awesome, even after I accidentally froze it. Not sure how much thawing it changed the flavor, but I'll definitely be grabbing another bottle.
All in all, good food.
Didn't make it through the Godfather though. We made it far enough to see the recipe's cameo, which was good enough for me.
