Butter vs margarine |
We used to buy the expensive Becel 'healthy for you' margarines. They always have warnings about not frying with them which always made me wonder how good they really were.
Vegetable oil product vs dairy product.
Currently we're going on the theory that dairy is better and since butter is more flexible and to me tastes just a bit better we've gone to just having butter in the house. We don't even buy margarine any more. Usually we can find a sale and then just buy a few and freeze them so even though butter can be pricey it's no worse for financially.
What are your opinions?

I've used margarine, but I much prefer butter.
Have you ever noticed you can leave margarine out all day and it will never attract a single fly or bug? Even they know it isn't good for you.

I use Shedds Spread on hot bread. I like the way it tastes and it spreads good right out of the fridge.
I use unsalted butter to make the bread and cook with.
