Gotta agree - I'm not a fan of the whole premise myself. It's just way too contrived, and the winners they do choose. Big Daddy anyone?

I have totally given up on the Food Network and actually avoid watching it now. Sad, because I used to be a Food Network junkie.

I only watch to see people fail at this point. Sick, perhaps, but it's fun.
I have to agree that the people they've chosen suck. I'm not a big fan of Guy, but at least he did ok in comparison to the other winners.

Kudos to them them even trying. I like Guy, at least he has a personality. I think if the Jeffrey dude wins or the black chick, they will be waaaay better than Rachel Ray or the Neelys, or that chick with the blonde spikey hair. Maybe the winner won't act so fake as the Neeley's. That show is just nauseating.

I used to feel the same way about the Neelys.
Then I met someone (coworker actually) who used to be friends with them. Apparently they are the same way off the air as they are on the air.
So while they still make me want to puke, I no longer think it's just an act.

Frankly, I don't think they're good enough actors to pull off something like that.
I can't stand Giada. I'm not sure why, either. I've just never liked her.

Don't care for the Neelys or Giada.
I love Guy though, best personality to come out of this show imo.
This year's "talent" is all just bleh, last year was too imo.
