Cake...my favorite subject.
I prefer using box cakes when I do my cakes, however, you can be creative and dress them up a little with flavors. Especially since you can purchase flavors other than just white, yellow, and chocolate.
My butter cream, well, I don't usually make it with butter. I will if I make chocolate icing. I don't even use eggs in mine. I love my icing, especially with almond flavoring. Yum!!

Congratz.
Since the hubby cannot eat wheat products, I spend my LIFE creating wheat-free cakes and thingies for him.
