ipad vs kindle |
Anyone have one or the other... or both ?
Ive heard that the ipad isnt so good because of the glossy screen & backlighting but then I think Apples going to set up an online store like itunes so that could be good. I prefer going into a real bookstore myself but I like itunes alot. 
I dont know alot about Kindle.
Thoughts ?

my thoughts about you asking this question would get me banned. let's just say i would hit you irl. if you want a tablet/e-reader, wait for the notion ink. it's got the best of both worlds and it's not a fking walled garden like the isuck is. if you just want an ebook reader then go with the kindle or nook atm.

I was going to get an ipad, but I am glad I held off on that. I have been reading that a lot of people have been having real bad issues with it, mainly wifi connectivity. But the main reason I held off on it is cause I remembered how only a few months after they released the iphone they lowered the price by $200. I might wait for that to happen and them fixing the problems with the ipad before I get one

I know the Kindle has a special screen made for reading that some people find non-existent with the iPad. You may want to try borrowing a friends or something and seeing if you can handle it first.

They are two completely seperate products.
The Ipad is an oversized Iphone that you can't use as a phone, is too large to bring along on your jog to listen to music, is too pricey to take on the subway to watch movies, and doesn't support flash so surfing youtube, or other fun sites on it is out.

I would vote Kindle....unless you plan to take advantage of the other features on the iPad. You can access your books on a Mac, PC, or iPhone with their free software. Target will be carrying Kindles at the end of the month. Best Buy has Nooks and iPads. I would go play with all 3 and decide from there. I am sure they will have display models out.

it does not read books like the kindle. go outside and try to read a book on your ipad. you can't. take a kindle outside and it's fine and dandy.
