I've about had my fill of Denna. After book one I was aghast when I realized she was going to be the lynch pin to Kvothe's undoing but now that I don't like her anymore I am perfectly OK with it.
The only thing that could make her not go terribly wrong is if Rothfuss goes in another direction just because it makes too much sense, but he doesn't seem like the sort of author to pass on something that makes too much sense just for a cheap twist.
Kvothe saying that he was betrayed is a tiny piece of foreshadowing that has been hanging over the entire book. Rothfuss has set it up in a way that a showdown with Denna's patron is a foredrawn conclusion no matter what happens and since we know something has to go horribly wrong Kvothe being undone by a girl is just too poetic to pass up.
What I wonder is if the Denna situation ties in to the king. Is Kvothe somehow tricked in to killing the king? Is the king a chandrian?
