unlike most people, I actually liked book 4 a lot, just as much as 1-3, and even so, after all this time im like Yoss, its just been too long and I could either take it or leave it. I will probably wind up reading it, but with most of the series' I have read I am usually anxious waiting to get off work, or for the book store to open so I can go get it, and with this I might pick it up in the next month or 2 if I have time to stop by a book store. The main thing that I am worried about though is that from what I have seen, George Martin has this tendency to bring up old characters or plots throughout the book, people that he doesnt mention too much, and then just expects you to remember them without giving it a second thought, at least thats how it was for me. There were more than a few times I was scratching my head thinking to myself "I know that name, but from where?". And I am afraid that I have just forgotten so much that I will have to go back and re-read books 1-4 just to get some of the plots or remember some of the characters. I am not a huge fan of re-reading, even books that I absolutely loved, I just cant sit there and read them again. I am the same way with movies, I dont own 1 single DVD and have never downloaded a movie that I have seen before, cause I just cant willingly sit there and watch something I have already seen when there is other stuff on T.V. but the wierd thing is I will watch re-runs or old movies I have seen on cable lol, if there isnt anything on that I havnt seen before that I want to watch of course
