I liked the book more than any of the recent books in the series. It had a few sections I didn't love but overall I thought it was very good.
I do think Harry's self recrimination was a little thin and so much of the plot hinged on it that it felt a tad forced to me.
My guess was that somebody - either the oracle girl or Uriel or someone else or even Mab - had Kincaid kill Dresden for his own good and while I was sort of in the ballpark I felt a little cheated that it was Dresden having himself killed; maybe I missed the clues but it felt entirely out of left field to me and part of the fun of those books for me is figuring it out myself.
I was hoping that Dresden would get out of being the Winter Knight just because I enjoy Dresden in Chicago interacting with the secondary characters. I hope the series keeps that and the Winter Knight thing doesn't come to dominate the story. I really want the next book to focus on all of Dresden's personal relationships and how Chicago acclimates to having him back.
I was, however, really happy with the character development in characters like Murphy, Molly, Butters, etc. One of my complaints has always been that the secondary characters felt shallow to me and they were very good in this one. I also thought Harry's character development and internal insight was really solidly done.

I enjoyed the book a lot. Reminded me of the earliest books in the series...which I loved.
As much as I hated "Changes", I like this one. The series is at it's best when it concentrates on Harry and his friends in Chicago.
