so please tell me that this series is not as depressing as the previous. because i'm having a really hard time plodding through it. i'm about 250 pages in on the first book and i love fitz still but i'm feeling like at any minute, it's going to slam nighteyes' death into me or something horrible and it'll be one long downhill horrible emotional drain on me.

nighteyes was the best character in the books.  well ignoring wolf fitz in his human body. that was hilarious on every level. but it was like a chapter long so it doesn't really count.

i spoiled a bit for myself because i was just so tired of fitz being alone. i'm sad that he never bonds with another animal after nighteyes. i'm on the last book though so i'm certain i'll start to hate it like i did with the last farseer book.
