...and I am looking for a server to start my lowbie gimp questing empire on. I've been playing my entirely 100% gimped Sword/Two Handed spec meleer for the past two months on Darktide, doing all of the oldschool low level quests up through the Sword of Lost Light (see: AC Death Mode http://vnboards.ign.com/ac_general_board/b5141/112924231/p1/?5 ). And I'm trying to get my RL friend to set up a sub for the first time ever later this month, so...

The thing is, the game actually WORKED from a standpoint of progressing from level 5 and being able to get from town to town without help, even on Darktide. I'm wondering if through word of mouth we can get this server popping again, doing the low level quests with whatever characters we feel like making, entirely unbuffed since the server is so dead. I was trying to get people to join me on Darktide now that it's so empty and actually playable, but I guess it's reasonable that people wouldn't want to play new characters on that server. But Verdantine is so empty.... it's the closest thing to the old AC there is!

Except old AC had a lot of people. Doing it on VT, you will have fun for a little while then people will stop and be done forever.
