Cage has four modes. Subdued popcorn movie mode (see: National Treasure). I'm in a piece of crap so I am just going to act ridiculous (see: Con Air). I am in a genuinely odd movie that is utilizing my ability to be a freak (see: Wild At Heart, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans) and then, rarely, good actor mode (Leaving Las Vegas and Adaptation). Have you seen those movies? You really thought he was bad in Leaving Las Vegas?

I think it was a good movie in spite of him.

A bad actor is a bad actor and he's bad.
