So anyone else watching? Band of Brothers set the bar pretty high IMO, but last night seemed like a decent start. I was certainly looking forward to more.
I was going to wait for the DVD's, but Comcast had a promotion running to get all the premium channels for $10 more for 6 months.

The first episode was pretty good. Looking forward to the next.

Yeah, with the big cast of characters and no central story, it's going to take awhile to get totally invested in them. Like Band of Brothers, there's probably going to be a cumulative effect as it moves along. The series is also hurt a little bit by a sort of been there, done that feel. Still, it was a good opening, and I will definitely not be missing an episode.

It may not be totally fresh like BoB but hopefully it does our Pacific Warriors justice.

Bleh, I just canceled my HBO sub. Guess I'll just wait for the DVD's to come out, just hope it's not 80 bucks or so like BoB was/is.

The good news for those waiting for the dvds is that I'm pretty sure they're going to be out really quickly. Like sometime in June, I think.

I thought this was the best episode so far. Getting to know the characters better. The story with Lucky's shore leave relationship was really well done for only being about 25 minutes of screen time.
