That's awesome. The flaming cars thing always struck me as the supreme example of the silliness and stupidity of the film. Not only boiling the war down to that one relatively small battle. But also, IIRC Magneto says something really ominous before they throw the flaming cars. Like that is their big ace in the hole. "ou guys are so f***ed. UNLEASH THE FLAMING CARS!!"

here's what i want to know. how do you fk up a movie that kind of revolves around dark phoenix? how is that possible? how terrible at life do you have to be to jack up one of the most badass and just innately awesome super villians of all time. even kanye can't dispute how amazing dark phoenix is.

Gotta agree Xmen 3 was horrible, especially the crap like the flaming cars, and don't even mention Juggernaut unless you want me to punch you. But then again, didn't the guy who directed Rush Hour direct it?

Anyways, the retarded action may have been his fault, but the movie just wasn't going to work anyways. The Marvel universe is massive. Much of the Phoenix saga(s) take place in different galaxies, including the one she destroyed. I'd say doing the Phoenix storyline alone would take a minimum 3-4 movies, plus you'd have to introduce the Shi'ar and the Kree and the Hellfire Club and all sorts of crap for any of it to makes sense.

I liked X-2, but it was mostly adapted from a single graphic novel, with a little bit of Wolvie origin spliced in. Jumping straight from that to Jean Grey galaxy hopping and exploding stars would just confuse everyone

Being the mutant buff, I am definitely looking forward for this. The correlation with the comic books of X-Men excites me the most.

I need to share something with everyone that has put me in a bad mood today, and the comments might shed some light on why they keep pumping out disappointing comic movies.

hint: its because ignorant people enjoy them

From rmbaldwin's link: "I mean when you really think about it, the first X-Men was definitely awesome. The second? It was beyond bad. The third? It held it’s own and was kind of cool."

X3 was better that X2? I have to agree with the comments on that article. The writer is nuts.

A few of the comments agreed with him at first, but thankfully a far less ignorant crowd showed up to call him an idiot.

I commented 3 times, trying to get the point across that Hollywood needs to stop taking a steaming dump on my childhood. I'm 31 now, and I've been waiting 20 years for movies capable of bringing my favorite characters to the big screen. Now that the technology is here, they've for the most part raped them with movies like X-3.

I was never really much of a fan of the X-men comic books, but I enjoyed the movies. I haven't seen that Wolverine one yet.

If you like X-3 than yeah I agree you're not an X-men fan. In which case you might enjoy Wolverine, as 90% of that movie was spent destroying every Marvel character they included.

Wolverine was an abomination, they slaughtered so many story lines. Seriously, it is just, awful. My issue is with Emma Frost, my fav character in the marvel universe, and bleh. Shame on Marvel for giving the Rights to stupid people.
