Nothing about that was funny.
It was probably written by the same tasteless morons who wrote Epic Movie, Disaster Movie and all of that other worthless ToS: profanity.
There aren't two less talented people on the planet.

If it was really Ted and Spilt they would have made a console war movie with twelve sequels.

Their names are Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. They are inarguably the worst thing to happen to movies, ever. They supposedly make movies in the spirit of Airplane, Top Secret, the Naked Gun, etc but there is a difference. Those movies are parodies, and are funny.
Friedberg and Seltzer make movies that pretend to be parodies, but don't actually parody anything. They just make 90 minutes of unrelated pop-culture references and people getting hit in the face and call it comedy.
Then they take their 2% Rotten Tomatoes score all the way to the bank, thanks to their idiot audience comprised of Ke$ha, The Hills and Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans.

Pretty much this. I tried to sit through a couple of them and even though I got most of the references there was no funny involved. Heck when you straight rip a scene/character from pop culture and band aid it into the story you aren't making funny. Make the audience work for it. Use quotes or similar scenes or even, gasp, poke fun at popular culture.

Couldn't agree more. The entire basis of their success is making stupid people feel like they're clever. It's the "Oh, I know that!" school of comedy, where an audience's recognition of something is tantamount to a joke. It's no different than showing pictures of colors, or shapes to preschoolers. "That's blue!" "That's circle!" "I get it!!"
