Spent most of this evening building the computer states a few threads back.

When I turn it on, i see the BIOS screen fine.

A few seconds later (still on the bios screen) i see zebra stripes (vertical) running down about 1/4th of the screen and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Using a dedicated video card? Might be an issue with that. If it needs external power, be sure it's plugged in and the video card (and any other PCI or PCIE cards) are seated properly. May want to try removing the video card and using the integrated video as a test.

Did you install a graphics card (AMD or Nvidia) into the PCI Express slot? If so, take it out and plug the monitor into the HDMI port if you have an HDMI port on your monitor or an HDMI to DVI cable.

it was the Crucial SATA SSD I had. Unplugged it, now it works fine.

Next step is fixing the problem with the SSD :c

Very weird a SSD drive would make the POST screen do that. Hmm.

agreed. I can't begin to figure out how an SSD drive would interfere with the video display...hmm.

I dont think its interferring with the VC, its that its not getting past the actually BIOS intiallization. Check for a BIOS update for the Motherboard and / or a Firmware update for the SSD.

I would turn off the FULLSCREEN LOGO in the BIOS so you can see the posting sequence.
