Who can piss off their investor's more? I think they are having a competition. Both companies have managed to make recent decisions that have caused their stocks to drop almost in half in a rather short period of time.
HP killed the TouchPad, Pre, and WebOS, overpaid for a big software company, and is spinning off it's successful PC business. HP hired the CEO less than a year ago after his big failure at SAP. But is expected to be fired again soon.

Netflix makes separates it's DVD and streaming plans, causing some prices to increase by 60%, then renames it's DVD business and requires DVD customers to use separate accounts and queues. Netflix CEO jokingly said his investors may try to poison him. Don't laugh, the option is on the table.

So we'll keep an eye out if Leo gets fired or if Reed's body washes up on a river bank.

Netflix is down -46% YTD...which looks like an incredible bargain. But, I have lost all faith in this company...which is unbelievable to me after all the years I've talked up the great service it "was"
I guess I'll stay with Amazon and Apple for tech stocks.

It's official.
Leo is fired. He'll get about $5 million in severance pay and walks away with about $30 million for his one year of service at HP. So he'll be okay. Maybe someone can convince Apple to hire this guy.

It sounds like they need new board members.
The CEO revolving door has cost the company more than $83 million in severance pay, including more than $25 million that will be owed to Apotheker.

Hewlett-Packard Co named former eBay Chief Executive Meg Whitman its president and CEO, replacing the harshly criticised Leo Apotheker in a bid to restore investor confidence in the iconic Silicon Valley company.
