Pre-order is fine. Just don't purchase any of those lifetime subscriptions, if they have them. They are for suckers.

Actually Lifetime subscriptions are even more of a sucker mover for the developer. They lose long term income that can be used for development for a big hit up front and less down the road.

I used to follow that game long time ago, so maybe I'm behind. So for all of you who know more - is it in any way different than the normal MMORPG game? They do have the 3 typical roles of tank/dps/healer... loot and raids, etc.. anything new and interesting that would make me want to get it?

Nothing new, same old MMO stuff. Actually from what I can gather it's more like a BioWare RPG that your friends can play with you. Lots of instancing.

It depends on the game and how long you play it. Judging by the number of players who can't tear themselves away from WoW a lifetime subscription for that game 7 years ago would have been remarkably good value for a great many people.

I certainly don't regret my two lifetime LoTRO subscriptions, they've saved me a lot of money over the last few years.

the only thing they've done different is added all the voice acting. which you will start to regularly skip because you're so fking sick of being on whatever planet you're on and you just want to level and get to a new planet that you will become sick of not even half way through it's quests too. boring game is boring.

One for WoW would have been great, I do agree. Too bad another WoW most games are not.
