Google and Samsung will be jointly announcing something next week. Probably a safe bet it's Android Ice Cream Sandwich with a side of Galaxy Nexus.

Our confidence in tech rumors was severely shaken yesterday, so take this Galaxy Nexus information with a grain of salt.

They say the phone would be Verizon exclusive (probably just for a short while). Verizon is the only carrier that decided not to carry the Galaxy S 2, no doubt because this bad boy was just on the horizon.

No Exynos processor is a bit of a disappointment if accurate. T-Mobile's Galaxy S 2 also switched out the Exynos with a TI OMAP because the Exynos didn't support faster HSPA+ 42Mbps modems. So maybe that's why this has no Exynos as well. The TI OMAP 4460 is pretty good though, so not a big problem.

Hope the camera doesn't suck, they've been pretty mediocre on past Samsung phones.

More coolness, little bit uncoolness too.

They say the camera should be good and very fast.
There will be a multi-colored notification LED.

But they are saying they believe the processor is a TI OMAP 4430 (not 4460 BGR reports). Both have the same CPU speeds, but the GPU part is downclocked on the 4430. Basically the iPhone 4S's A5 processor will blow the doors of the Nexus Prime in terms of graphics performance. But I think it's still an upgrade over a Tegra 2.

And now for more. GSMArena's "trusted source" is saying BGR's "trusted source" is full of crap.

They say the processor is Samsung's own chipset, a dual core 1.5GHz with PowerVR SGX 543MP2 (same graphics as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S), so apparently it is Exynos.

And the camera is 8MP, no 5MP. I'm not too worried about the megapixel number, you can have good 5MP cameras and bad 12MP cameras. But it sounds like both agree the camera is suppose to be good and fast.

They believe the battery will be a bit larger, 2050mAh. With power sucking LTE and a 4.65 inch screen, more battery the better.

Anyway, guess we'll find out the truth next week.

Oh one other cool thing someone else reported (don't have the link handy). Notice those 3 dots on the side of the phone? It's believe they are charging contacts. So instead of plugging in a micro USB cable to charge up, you could just plop the phone down in a cradle and charge away. We've seen this on phones (and other things) in the past, but for some reason not many people are doing that this days. Sure is easier than having to plug in a cable or trying to line up the phone with a plug on a docking station.

nexus one had non usb charging abilities, it was nice.

The images are partly fake, partly teaser images, and partly guess work all put together to show what someone believes the Galaxy Nexus will look like. From other bits and pieces of leaked images we've seen, I think this might not be that far off.

Definitely my next phone.
