Well I bought Skyrim on Newegg during the $47.99 sale.. Which promised next day delivery so that it would arrive on 11/11/11...
They have failed. The package is currently sitting half way across the state after bouncing around entirely to much. The delivery date has been updated to 11/14. At this point I have said F*#( it and bought it on Steam for $59.99. Yes I am a bitchy gamer and I want my way. Lesson learned.. Newegg = PC Parts only.
I will refuse the package when it arrives on Monday.
EDIT.. My friends that bought it on Amazon got their copies today. Amazon got their shipments off faster.

I was playing Skyrim at 12:03AM EST on 11/11/11Thank you, Steam! haha.
And yeah, are you sure it was Newegg, or UPS? I am surprised Amazon was so quick, they usually take forever with the stuff I order.

amazon has release date delivery for preorders. it only costs $1 and if they fail to get it to you on the date, they generally give you a $5 gift card to use and your $1 back. (i've made them give me the dollar back both times they were a date late.) it's only happened to me twice since they started that shipping option and i get all of my games from them if i pre-order. i like steam and all but steam doesn't have a $20 gift card deal on most of the games i pre-order, like amazon.

same here  it's sitting half way across the country to be delivered 11/14
lots of people i know that did this just went to best buy or gamestop to buy the game and will return the newegg/amazon to wherever they bought the other one. i'm just waiting

tho i guess if your a fan of the cute box art, instruction books, and possibly a map u can hang on your bedroom wall...

You must not have amazon prime. Hell when I do 2 day shipping if it comes from Coffeyville I get it next day.
