Get new motherboard 990 FX I have MSI 880GM-P51 and get another 450 GTS and SLI or get a 560 GTX TI (The SLI route is cheaper believe it or not)

I'm not a big fan of sli or crossfire. Are you running more than one monitor or running a huge screen (30in+) ?

If your a tinkerer you can try make the game profiles work and filter through drivers to find the best version for any said game, or you can make it easier on yourself and just get a single card.

The GTS 450 SLI is going to have faster maximum FPS.
However the GTX 560 is likely to feel smoother.

The GTS 450 is half the price of the GTX 560 though.

If you don't mind the roller coaster that is SLI/Crossfire, then getting another GTS 450 looks like a good value.

If you're going to get into a situation where one upgrade cascades into more upgrades, I would just build a new system IMO.

For contemporary specific build/part recommendations I leave that to people who are up to date on current hardware offerings. I am talking about build strategy & costs. I've long found that upgrades are generally not worth doing unless a mistake or under-estimation was made during the initial build, plus I don't much care for orphaned parts.

I build a new system every three to four years, doing my catch up research before ordering parts for the new system. You can plug a performance hole with a upgrade, but back to my initial concern, be wary of getting into a situation where that upgrade is going to cascade. If you think it is, then it is time to build anew IMO.

Ok I have succeed in the fact that I am going to upgrade the whole build I was thinking of going Intel for the reason of not having to upgrade soon (Phenom's have been out forever) and SB's just came out not to long ago.

The motherboard I was looking at was the ASrock z68 motherboard 124.99

The processor that I was looking at was either the Intel Core I3 2100 or I5-2500k I was wondering if the I5-2500k would be worth it as of right now because Ivy Bridge will be coming out.

The Case that I was looking at was the Coolermaster Haf 912 as I think it is big enough and has great cable management support and the price is low too (If you can direct me in any cheaper ones that are the same way please dont feel to hesitate)

The Videocard that I was looking at was the Powercolor 6870 as it should be strong enough to support any games that I want to play on High-Ultra settings with NP. 1920 X 1080

Now to the vn community would these make worthwhile upgrades ?
