Accord to at least one group, Chrome is now the second most used browser in the world, passing Firefox.

I find that very hard to believe. The server stats I have at hand for a couple different sites show firefox ahead.

Anyone else show Chrome ahead of Firefox on their sites?

edit: It appears that Firefox has moved to #3 in the UK. That makes sense to me since the sites I have access to data from are US based.

Chrome is the default browser on android devices. With Chrome being a good browser without the baggage of a bad history that IE carries is probably used most users even though there are other Android browsers.

I do not believe Android 2.x phones are being counted, because their browser is an unbranded webkit, not Chrome. Only Android 3 and greater uses Chrome, which makes up a tiny percentage of Android devices at the moment.

US and UK and other places Firefox still maintains number 2. Other data also still shows Firefox number 2 world wide. It's not a precise science. But all data does seem to point that Chrome will be number 2 without question very soon if not already. Firefox is slipping and Chrome is soaring.

Won't stop me from using Firefox as my main browser, specially with the speed improvements they made lately which makes it even faster. I also have Chrome, Internet Explorer and several others installed (for job), but I always come back to Firefox.

And on my Android phone, I use Dolphin HD.

I use chrome pretty much exclusively. Except on my mac-mini which for some reason the performance of safari is far superior on.

I have not tried it since it came out, and it sucked back then.

I survived to the end and got nothing out of it, but hey.

For about 2 months now, I've switched over to Chrome for 99% of my surfing. It's just smoother than FF for me.
