Reserving judgement until it is done.

If they do buy it, I wonder if they will bundle it with their tv packages.

Verizon is absolutely phenomenal, until you have to deal with customer service. We went from being customers for 7 years to cancelled everything in the span of 1 day after getting horrible assistance by 6 different CSR's, as we were passed back and forth to 'have someone else answer us as they didn't have the answers'. They are absolute crooks and the court records have shown that more than a few times.

Still mad about that whole Usenet thing?

Which Usenet thing are you referring too?

Verizon isn't too bad. I like their hardware. They have by far the worst customer service though. They even beat AT&T in that depart which is almost deserving of a medal in of itself.

That's depends, I've had nothing but good CS from them. My company took over my personal cell number so I could carry one phone. The person I talked to said my Family share plan would auto drop to a cheaper single line for the wife. Since we rent movies and other stuff our bill is always changing. Any way, got busy and forgot to really look to make sure it dropped.

Two years later, go in to upgrade the wife's phone and the guy asks why we have a family plan. Told them what happened, talked to the manager and suggested that while I was responsible for checking my bill, I felt that they told me it would drop and at some point why didn't a family plan with a single phone raise a courtesy call. I said we both have some blame and suggested a 50% refund of the overcharges and he agreed.

Yea, lets see AT&T do that.

I just hate with all subscription services that the price slowly increases without notices. Used to pay 70/mo for my wife and I's family plan. Slowly over the 5 years it crept towards being 80 then 90 then 95. I check and there are all these additional fees which seem to increase.

Have the same thing with time warner. Started at 29.99, then it went to 49.99 when the promo expired, no problem. Realized the other day that it was up to 58. Need to call them up and complain, have heard from a lot of friends that if you just call up and complain they'll lower it back down.

Verizon sucks ass.

They keep selling devices with 4G and services with streaming music, movies, etc.

Share the broadband, etc.

Yet they keep lowering the limits and raising the prices.

I did DSL support for them a few years back and even spent a year in an offshored call center. Customer service on that end of things was hit and miss. More miss than anything. The tools and training were subpar, the pay was pretty dismal stateside ($9 an hour, far too close to McDonalds for comfort).

Seeing as how they are no longer going to expand Fios, it all makes me a sad panda.

I don't hate Verizon, but I have no reason to "like" them either.
