Not to knock your case, but If I were you, I would really spend more time choosing a case, since you might have to live with it for several years, probably using it again on your next upgrade.

Case: Rosewill BLACKHAWK ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107 ) Cost: $99.99
Nothing out there for $50 that you would have enjoyed? I bought a $40 coolermaster to put my old system in and I actually like it more than my $200 main Antec case.

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500k ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 ) Cost: $219.99
Good. Anything more is foolish.

Motherboard: AsRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157265 ) Cost: $149.99
I don't know anything about this brand, but I would have gone with a Z68 but it is not a big deal. I prefer the Asus P8P67 Pro as well but again, not a big deal.

GPU: EVGA GTX 560 ti ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130738 ) Cost: $289.99
Fine.

PSU: Corsair 750w Modular ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010 ) Cost: $149.99
650W would have been more than enough.

RAM: GSkill Ripjaws X 8gb ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231455 ) Cost: $59.99 **Is this RAM worth it for my mobo?
Change to 1600mhz Ripjaw

Hard drive: Seagate 1TB ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697 ) Cost: $124.99 **Is RAID really worth it anymore?
This is fine and yes, drives are expensive now.

Optical drive 1: Asus dvd burner ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204 ) Cost: $19.99
Fine

Optical drive 2: Lite-On Blu-Ray Burner ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106348 ) Cost: $99.99
Fine, but why? Are you watching blu-ray on here? If not, don't waste the money and put this $100 into the Dell monitor I mention below or save it.

Monitor: Asus 24" ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236153 ) Cost: $209.99
For $100 more, you could get the Dell U2412M which is FAR superior to this and 1920x1200 resolution. This is ok though.

Looks fine overall though. A few cuts here and there (case, memory, etc) would give you enough to put in a 60-80MB SSD for your boot drive.

I survived to the end and got nothing out of it, but hey.

I did- I liked the cable management this case provided as well as the temperature management via fans etc. I also liked the connectors on the top of the case. For $100, I can deal if I need to change something in a few yrs.

The order has been placed! Thank you all for your comments!

Edit: apparently, there was a delay between postings and replies. Very odd...I checked and didn't see any posts, then I reply and Mithan's and the other reply showed up. That was like a 10 min delay!

Mithan,

You posted right after I made my purchase! I did change the RAM to exactly what you had posted, strange enough. This system will be in the Master bedroom, and I will be able to watch bluray movies on it (why the drive is listed). I probably could have waited ont he bluray drive for the better monitor, but I hope i'll be happy with what has been ordered.

I will probably be posting like a mad man on this forum once the building begins....Im SUPER excited!

Thank you!
