I ordered this to replace my Samsung that died and the Viewsonic 1080p I am currently using for my second monitor.

Basically, the plan is to move my Dell 2407WFP to my second monitor and use the 2412M as my main monitor.

I will post a bit of a review when I get it.

As for price, I got it this weekend for $300 (down from $400). It is also 1920x1200 and LED. Its funny because my Dell 2407 cost me $1200 when I purchased it back in July of 2006. At the time, the 24" size also made me sick. It took me 2 weeks to get used to it.

I have an old Dell 2405FPW that is slowly dying. I just don't want to bite the bullet on buying another 24" 16:10 IPS monitor before I have to.

If its the PSU, you can replace it.

I know when my 2407 finally dies, I will probably try and repair it.

It is the actual picture messing up, sadly. The screen is getting a yellow tint, and there is some pretty bad temporary burn-in for high contrast things left up on the UI for anything over a minute.

Could be the back light going, hard to say. My Dell 2407 is a bit yellowed after all these years as well, though not that noticable.

Ah Grats!
Monitors I have never die for some reason. I have a 2405WFP that is still going strong. I'm eyeing one of the new 27 inch UltraSharps with the 110% color gamut, but the darn things are about $1000, and I can't justify a purchase with my current one still working. Haha

i know somebody who ordered the monitor on Black Friday. Dell keeps delaying his order. He literally ordered it minutes after it went live.
