It isn't the patent system it is the misuse of the system by predators such as SCO and these guys looking for a quick buck.

Misuse of the system is a fault of the system. Then again, I'm an Engineer - Dumb users are expected.

If you ask me it looks like it is killing itself. Anything that can allow this will surely decay naturally, right?



Not when the people who are lobbying for change are the very people who benefit from it mostly. What really needs to happen is as a society we stop being sheep and start thinking for ourselves.
